Leo Kottke and Mike Gordon 'Sixty Six Steps' August 11, 2005- The Vail Trail (Colorado) By Vail Trail staff Album Review - Sixty Six Steps Bouncing back from their first outing, 2002¹s ³Clone,² ex-Phish bassist Gordon and acoustic guitarist extraordinare Kottke share their own somewhat skewed vision of the world, ranging from a weird and breathless version of Aerosmith¹s ³Sweet Emotion² to a variety of Caribbean-influenced pieces. The duo is assisted in its kooky loops by Bahamian drummer percussionist Neil Symonette and demonstrates a musical synergy which will probably appeal more to Phish fans than Kottke converts.
