Album Review - Sixty Six Steps

I have always been a fan of Leo Kottke. He is a legendary guitar player. This time he is collaborating with guitarist Mike Gordon. They are playing mostly acoustic guitars. It is folk music with Latin influences. They cover a few songs by Pete Seeger and Peter Green. Some serious jammers in their own right. "Oh Well" is one of the highlights. This is a blues standard. They even do a version of "Sweet Emotion" by Aerosmith. It almost sounds more like "Come Together" by The Beatles. This is a pretty entertaining record.
