Album Review - Joy
Five years after "retiring," Phish came back in March to play for capacity crowds of drooling Phans. Now the premier jam band is releasing Joy, its finest record since 1998's The Story of the Ghost. While some may harp on the relative weakness of Phish's studio efforts, Joy boasts songsÑlike bassist Mike Gordon's "Sugar Shack"Ñthat sound better on disc than they did live this summer. The same can't be said of the CD's crown jewel, "Time Turns Elastic," which has to be caught live, man.
