Phish, Hampton Comes Alive

Album Review - Hampton Comes Alive
As the amusing Peter Frampton-tweaking title suggests, this 54-track set packages two nights of live performances in Hampton, Va., by the nation's premier rock experimenters. Fans will leap toward the bait of the original material presented live, while newcomers may be hooked by a band whose cover versions encompass Gary Glitter, Will Smith, Chumbawamba, Stevie Wonder, the Beastie Boys and Manfred Mann. Bonus for aphishionados: The six individual sleeves can be arranged to form a two-sided puzzle.
