Former Phish Bassist Mike Gordon Has Album Due August 4th, 2008 - Associated Press By Staff Gordon's album, "The Green Sparrow," Is Due Out Tuesday Former Phish bassist Mike Gordon has a solo record coming out Tuesday called "The Green Sparrow." He says he knew what he wanted for the cover art, which he talked about doing himself. Gordon says he wanted the sparrow to look sort of like an owl and have big wide eyes. He adds that he spent 150 dollars on tissue paper, scissors and glue and cut strips of the paper and played with the design until it was what he "imagined it to be." As for the music, he says he also has a band but hasn't thought of a name yet.
