Richmond residents are enjoying the sounds of sonatas and show tunes, thanks in part to Vermont's most famous rocker.

Phish frontman Trey Anastasio donated a big chunk of change to his hometown of Richmond to purchase a new piano.

Residents packed the town library this weekend to hear master pianists and local novices tickle the ivories.

The piano is part of the city library's expansion project.

Other big donors include the Garrett family, Northfield Savings Bank and the Bristol music shop, Hildebert's.
