Phish has just returned to its Vermont-based studio the Barn to begin work on its 10th studio album. The as-yet-untitled set will be produced by Tchad Blake (Tom Waits, Pearl Jam, Suzanne Vega) and is due in mid-June via Elektra. It will be the follow-up to 2002's "Round Room," which debuted at No. 46 on The Billboard 200.

Although dates have not yet been confirmed, Phish is expected to return to the road this summer.

Meanwhile, guitarist Trey Anastasio has penciled in an April 6 release date via Elektra for "Seis de Mayo," an album of seven instrumentals written and recorded over the past few years. An orchestral version of "Guyute" features the 66-piece Seattlemusic orchestra, while the former solo guitar cut "The Inlaw Josie Wales" now features string quartet accompaniment.

Also featured is the Dixieland-flavored "Coming To," as well as "Andre the Giant," which features Phish bassist Mike Gordon as well as musicians playing the African instruments djembe and balifon. The set will be available for pre-order from Phish's official Web site in early March.

Finally, Anastasio and Dave Matthews recently traveled to Senegal to perform with West African band Orchestra Baobab. The experience will be chronicled on an episode of the VH1 series "(Inside) Out," scheduled to air in mid-March.
