King and Phish jammed on three tunes, including a twenty-three minute rendition of Memphis Slim's "Every Day I have the Blues" and a steaming version of King's "The Thrill Is Gone." "I can't believe it even happened," says Anastasio. "As a guitar player, he's at the top of the pyramid." Ten days earlier in Los Angeles, Phish had celebrated their first ROLLING STONE cover by playing Dr. Hook's "The Cover of Rolling Stone." "There's some great lines in there," Anastasio says.
