LIMESTONE (AP) -- Thousands of Phish fans are braving soggy weather and traffic tie-ups for this weekend's rock concert.
But that hasn't stopped an estimated 60,000 to 70,000 fans from coming to Limestone to hear the popular band.
The fans will camp out and listen to groovy tunes before heading home from northern Maine.
Maine Turnpike officials say the heaviest traffic will be in both directions Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and southbound Sunday from 2 to 7 p.m.
Last year, when there wasn't a Phish concert, more than 602,000 vehicles traveled the turnpike the first weekend in August.
Typically, the first weekend in August is among the three busiest of the year for turnpike travel.
