This Week's Monitor September 1, 2003 - Entertainment Weekly By Staff Phish bassist Mike Gordon, 38, was charged with misdemeanor child endangerment and trespassing Aug. 11. According to police, the jam- band musician and a 9-year-old girl were found in an enclosed boathouse behind the stage of the Jones Beach, N.Y., amphitheater where the Grateful Dead were performing. Though Gordon and the girl's family issued a statement calling the incident "an unfortunate misunderstanding," the musician must appear in a New York court Sept. 29 Copyright © 2003 Entertainment Weekly
