The Vermont jam band Phish says its weekend bash at the
former Loring Air Force Base will be held on Aug. 2 and 3.
The show will be called "It." Earlier shows at what's now called the Loring
Commerce Center were "The Great Went" in 1997 and "Lemonwheel" in 1998.
Each of the previous shows attracted more than 60,000 "Phish-heads" who
parked and camped on the runways in Limestone.
Adam Lewis of Great Northeast Productions in Boston says the band will play
three sets a day as it closes out its summer tour.
The festival will include arts and crafts dealers as well. Residents of
northern Maine welcomed the economic boost from the earlier shows.
The Loring Development Authority estimated that each pumped $25 million into
the state economy.
