Released earlier this month, "Clone" is easily one of the most compelling duet albums in years. The reason? It's a highly creative and masterfully crafted collaboration between acoustic guitar virtuoso Leo Kottke and eclectic bassist Mike Gordon.

Known for his unique and seamless finger picking style as well as his deep and distinctive voice, Kottke has influenced countless amounts of guitar players in his 25-year career. Gordon, of course, is best known for his work with Phish, though he has delved into filmmaking while the band has been on hiatus.

"Clone" is somewhat of a departure for both musicians: The recording is Kottke's first fully credited collaboration with another musician and Gordon's first purely musical project outside of Phish. The two take it on the road for a 12-date tour that makes a stop Tuesday at UVM's intimate Ira Allen Chapel.
