Fans bemoaning the hiatus of Vermont alternative rock band Phish can take solace in the group's upcoming series of live concert CDs.
The wildly popular group, which has been on break since October, announced Friday that it will release six complete concert recordings every six months beginning Sept. 18. Live Phish 01 through 06 features a total of 17 CDs that include shows from Binghamton, N.Y.; North Fayston, Vt.; Darien Center, N.Y.; Fukuoka, Japan; East Troy, Wis.; and Worcester, Mass.
The CDs also are puzzles -- the cover art of each series can be put together to create a larger image. Elektra Records' plan mirrors a similar series of live recordings by Pearl Jam last year.
