Phish Concert Update August 17, 1995 - The Boston Globe by Staff In a break from a long tradition of New Year's Eve concerts in the Boston-Worcester area, the Vermont band Phish will close its year with two nights at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Boston's new FleetCenter was committed to an engagement with Disney On Ice. The band will play the New Haven Coliseum Dec. 2, the Mullins Center at U-Mass/Amherst Dec. 4-5, the Civic Center in Portland, Maine, Dec. 11 and Providence Civic Center the next night. Phish then returns to the Worcester Centrum Dec. 28-29, followed by Madison Square Garden. Tickets go on sale Oct. 28 for New Haven and Amherst, and Nov. 4 for Portland and Providence. End-of-year shows are likely to go on sale in early December.
